Review: Jane's Gift

Jane's Gift
Jane's Gift by Karen Erickson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A refreshing story about how a family pulls together and moves forward after a devastating life altering fire.

Christian Nelson is the single fireman who has the label 'player' tattooed on his chest. Jane Clark is the mother of three who has been left a widow and a recovering burns victim after a house fire.

I am a sucker for a HEA plot and this is a feel good book. I will be looking for other books by this author as I liked her style of writing.

Review: Anything He Wants

Anything He Wants
Anything He Wants by Sara Fawkes

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Firstly who can honestly say they have never thought 'phwoar he is scorching hot' about a man in an elevator? I know I have lol.

Lucy Delacourt thinks the same about Jeremiah Hamilton the only difference is Jeremiah thinks the same about Lucy but he does something about it.

The story starts off at a good pace and drew me in so much I was still reading at 0130. Lots of chemistry between Lucy & Jeremiah and great thriller situations thrown in. All wrapped up in a story that twisted and flowed well and exploded with action during the last few chapters.

This is a book I will mark as to-read-again.

Review: In Bed with the Opposition

In Bed with the Opposition
In Bed with the Opposition by Stephanie Draven

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I liked this story it was different from others I had read as in I have never read 'romance' centred round a political theme.

Great chemistry between Grace & Ethan, well there would be as they had a 'disastrous affair in collage' as the blurb says lol.

The sub characters of Blain who is the grandson of Senator Kip Halloway along with the Senator himself were good. Although I could have lamped Kip for taking so much advantage of poor Grace.

Tempting the Player
Tempting the Player by J. Lynn

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Loved this story, yes it was predictable but what the heck I am a glutton for the Lust, Misunderstanding leading to Hate/Lust scenario.

Have marked Tempting the Bodyguard as a must read :-)

Review: The Marriage Mistake

The Marriage Mistake
The Marriage Mistake by Jennifer Probst

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After reading both The Marriage Trap & The Marriage Bargain I was very excited to receive a preview copy of The Marriage Mistake via Netgalley.

This book carries on with the theme of Mother Nature giving a helping hand via a spell to guide the man of Carina's dreams Max Gray into her arms.

Three years after casting her spell and doing a little growing up and maturing Carina wants to experience a wild love affair once she arrives in NY to work in the family business. Max tries his best to put a stop to Carina's plans. But she has moved on from being the 'like a sister' image he has of her to becoming a mature woman, Sparks Fly obviously.

I could not put this book down and read it yesterday, good job it was a Sunday because I didn't want any interruptions. The story was good and quite funny at times, there was some adult content which was appropriate to the story which mentioned FSOG that I thought was very funny. I hope Jennifer Probst will be writing Julietta's story soon.

Review: Wyoming Fierce (Wyoming Men #2) by Diana Palmer

Did not finish this book. After 10% of reading I decided that although I wanted to know the outcome of the story of Cane and Bodie I had to move on. The potential was there for a great story if only there was a little more depth to the characters and situations rather than flitting about with unrelated memories to the scene.

Review: Her Best Friend's Brother

Her Best Friend's Brother
Her Best Friend's Brother by T.J. Dell

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stop press!!!! 9yr old falls in love at first sight, what a way to start a story.

Libby has loved Tony since she first set eyes on him when she was at a sleep over at the BBF's house for a sleepover.

The story moves along over the years as we see both Libby & Tony miss opportunities to get together.

Sometimes I only want to read a book for the pleasure of a good story that could happen in reality, this is one of those books.

Review: Exquisite

Exquisite
Exquisite by Ella Frank

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First of all I will start by saying Mason is delicious, who could resist a man who is funny, warm and sexy wearing an apron in the kitchen and imaginative with fruit.

A slightly different story from the norm as it was the 'hero' saving the 'heroine' then the tables turned and it was the heroine saving the hero.

So if you like fruit, flowers, food wrapped in a believable story I suggest you read this.
